So we all know that Phillips make the "Ambilight" TV. But i guess this is just a gimmick to sell more TV's. This is due to the fact that the Phillips Ambiligh rang have very bad reviews. None the less i want the Ambilight effect with my new TV when i get it after Christmas. Now i was hoping to just look online and find a small box that will plug into your scart cable and then into your TV, that also comes with its own RGB light and that is it you are away with your DIY ambiligh. But i was so wrong. There seems to be no such thing. The closest thing that i can find is a small circuit board that i think mat do it if you program the PIC chip with the right HEX file. Not only this but it has to be connected to a serial port so no good for any type of TV. Anyone else had this problem and if you have can you shed some ambilight on this matter?
Cheers

The circuit board that i think may do the job is this: http://www.arduino.cc/
Also these RGB Cathode tubes that would look quite nice if connected to the unit:

Ok but you have not told me where to get this product and what it is called. Also interaction with sound is ok but its not ambilight is it? I was looking on you tube and found quite a few people have done this with there PCs so it looks like it is possible but i just don't know how to make it interact with the TV?
