Diverticulitis, Anyone else suffer it

Got diagnosed with it after a week in hospital with stomach cramps fever etc and has now flared up again so am stuck in bed resting.
Got a hospital visit end of month to see about surgery.
Anyone else ever suffer from it if so do you find any particular foods trigger it ?

Basically its caused by your diet and is little pockets that pop out the side of your colon fill with rubbish and with mine is like permanently having the worse stomach ache ever and cramps that double you over .
Nicknamed the western disease because of our crap eating habits ( low fibre )
