my motto is if you cant see it, dont mess with it

i had a simaler situation at my bro in law,he wanted a dimmer switch putting on
and he had two live wires,a negative and earth and i wasnt confidant of wireing this dimmer up
anyway called a mate whos is a sparky,he did it and while he was doing it he got a couple of shocks
which threw him across the room he only forgot to switch the power off
