that should say `SHANDY` and `CHEERS`
sounds like i`ve had one two many

Depens they may have water in them if they do get some PCB layer spay on and dry it out, this will only work 50% of the time.
avalible from maplin.

A speciality of mine that Monkeyspunks - water damadged electronics goods recovery, lol

Yes, if they have actually been soaked strip them down removing the odd backup battery as you go and wash in de-ionised water (Stuff used to top up car bateries etc, not just boiled !)and dry.

I got a decent digital camera for £6 like that

M8 there blocked because which ever network the phone was purchased on has blocked the fones from using there networks if u wnt to sell them let me know. But i can fix them for you.

How does the network prevent them from being switched on since a phone can be powered-up without a SIM being present and it will not relay its' IMEI unless a SIM is, therefore, unless the is phone being powered-up with a valid SIM (IMSI, Ki etc...) the network will not know it is there

The phone is a seperate entity and most can move networks.

I have never heard of phones being 'blocked' to the point of not actually switching on anymore

If you look again at my post I never said that the networks prevent the phone from switching on.

grab a lager and cool down plz peeps, here to help not shout at each other.

thanks

Predatas' original post was concerning phones not switching on (Dead).Yes, I see no one had mentioned blocked phones until :

Predata was asking how to repair them...

That's why I was a little concerned, just trying to help.
