not sure if ur sorted but i have had just the same problem as u.
a think what mjamil is saying is to go to telnet

type the word passwd then enter
then type your password, but when your typing it dosent show for security..lol.. so i put 0000 then hit enter
i then typed another 0000 then enter again

i then went into dcc and connected and this time i had all my ftp files on the left hand side.
not sure if this helps , but after reading this post it sorted my prob out.
