Court bans BNP from recruiting new members

lol, mention bnp or muslims and its always heated.

I didnt think the courts had rights to stop political parties like this. In any case, lets look at the word prejudice instead. The parties mentioned here like BNP, muslim council and asian police assoc are all prejudiced in my opinon. They have their own agenda to help their own kind so to speak. I refer to this comment in the original post

Susie Uppal, director of legal enforcement at the EHRC, said: "Political parties, like any other organisation, are obliged to respect the law and not discriminate against people who wish to become members.

I do not know the policies of the other organisations mentioned here but are non muslims allowed to join muslim council? or non blacks and asians allowed to join the polic assoc? I really don't know but I would think not.

Everyone knows what BNP is about, but I really don't think the court ruling will have any effect as no one in their right mind who is not white or racist will join bnp. Its more publicity for the BNP than anything else. That Mo Chaudry fella sounds like bullshit talk to me, what can he do? He would be powerless so to me it sounds like a publicity stunt for him as well (IMO).

Anyways, I would like to ask Emerald a question since he is talking about muslims and pakistani's. Can you tell the difference between a pakistani, a hindu or a non turban wearing punjabi? Or are you all against asians when you speak of paki's.

By the way, I am not for the BNP. In fact not voting at all. I am enjoying the nice sunny weather here at the moment. Damn hot, in the 80's today.

Yeah right Emarald - so why choose a muslim woman wearing the niqab: very few do.

Terrific argument you got there: displaying you intelligence once again.

Goodnight.

First of all, hello, as you can guess Im a Muslim. My sister, nor my Mum(We are a three "child" family BTW) do not wear the traditional Islamic clothing. In Islam, there is no "compulsion in religion" Whereas they should wear them, we can not force them to. In all honesty, I wouldnt force any one to do any thing either

I myself went to a Keighley primary school(part of Bradford) and the amount of racism(both from Asians and whites) was horrific! I went to an Ilkley secondary school(99% white) and there were only two racists in a whole school of 1550 pupils.

I now go to Leeds(college) with many white friends. Only one is racist.

I have noticed that the racists tend to come from a working class background, and are generally less educated. There are black racists as well as white racists. Im not denying that

EDIT: Yes, in the posh town of Ilkley you do get the odd "working class"

i tend to agree with that. simply because they havent got the knowledge on the subject area and they havent generally interacted with those they hate. not every muslim is an extremist, not every muslim is bad. just like not every christian is a bnp supporter, not every christian is bad. extremists are of all colours/religions/ethnic backgrounds etc if you listen to the extremists from all religions/ethnic background/countries etc then ur a fkin retard because these lot just incite hate and are good for nothing.

luckily for me i work with so many different people of all religions etc and i can say i dont hate a single one of them for the colour of their skin/religion etc..... or for any other matter.... why? coz i interact with them, have conversations, get to know them, we socialise etc and because of that 99% of the time i'll never make a judgement on someone havin not had a conversation with them.

what u need to do is have chat with the open-minded and have a discussion and not just paint everyone with the same brush.. not everyone is bad and its unfortunate islam gets singled out because of the minority of numpties who are looking for trouble...... just like with most things, trouble will always make the headlines and its always a minority that spoils it for the rest....

Well there are some highly qualified professionals I have come across that are racist. It is not just the less educated.

Indeed they have. I don't think some of the posters here have taken the trouble to study this ruling closely enough. For the sake of democracy, political parties must be bound by rules on how they operate, raise donations, recruit members etc.

The BNP broke those rules and were told to stop recruiting until they complied with the law. It's as simple as that.

I don't think qualifications are necessarily an indication of intelligence. I've met quite a few well qualified people who are not that sharp outside their own subject and quite a few people with little education who are highly intelligent.

Fair enough. The people I have come across are "working class" as are a lot. I noticed on question time, when a working class citizen asked(well stated) "the immigrants are stealing our jobs" you could distinctly tell that the person was working class.

I believe another reason why racism mainly lies with the working class, is because immigrants generally do low level work such as plumbing, cleaning, taxi etc... cheaper than British workers. These jobs traditionally would go to the working class, not middle or professional class
