connecting NAS drive to dm500

how do i connect a NAS drive onto the dreambox 500s to store the EPG using pli image?

Iv trired putting ip address of the nas drive onto the mount setting but it just keeps saying mount failed

Are you sure samba is running on the dm500?

I presume you are also choosing SMBFS as the mount type.

which image supports this?? does the pli image?? i want to store the epg settings onto my nas, i have not got pli installed on the box yet but im sure it does not have it from what i can remember

I have OpenPli on my box but dont use a nas,
had a look in the blue button downloads section and it has plugins for samba,and it also has SMBFS as a mount option.

but before you switch images try using the web interface to setup your mount as I think the SMBFS option is available on older images only through the web interface.

cheers mate it was on the web browser and not on the box!! it did connect!! Jus gonna try running pli image and get this epg set up done
