Connect both computer and laptop through wireless network?

No its your internal LAN IP you are after.

Go to the Machine you want to access and go to the command promt

and type ipconfig it will give you your IP

BTW, default gateway address will be your router address


I suspect yours will be something like 192.168.0.2 or something.

It works!!!! I just did it, using the correct IP address.

Oh man, what a hassle..flipping did my head in. Thanks again guys, 5 pages going through a simple procedure.

The problem is that by hiding so much shit to try and make things easier, microsoft has actually made things more difficult for somebody who attempts to do anything more then surf the web.
