I would like to figure out how to clone a machine so that I can either:

1. Take the credentials of that machine into another one
2. Place that entire machine onto a VM

As this is a managed computer, there is no way to get onto the corporate network without it. At the same time, it is so heavily locked down it requires running 2 computers side-by-side to do certain tasks.

I suspect it's all buried within the certificates, but I'm not sure if it is also tied into hardware components as well.

Windows 10

the network will have filters for the machines mac address and name any machine with the same mac and name should connect

You could try virtualising the whole machine, you need VMWare and an add-on.

I've done it with this PC but your NIC MAC and other details will change. It's possible to change the NIC MAC, of course.

Might be worth an experiment.

Just remember to customise what is cloned or it will clone every drive, I found that out :).

No admin rights, so can't install VMWare without requesting and justifying (long process). I guess if I had forensics know-how, I could see what corporate sites were looking for on the machine when authenticating and then copy those items over (as a starter for 10).
