UK News Cheaper Broadband on Benefits (becomes easier....

good to see they are trying to help out, but yet again those not on benefits or those not entitled to them, even though they may not necessarily be well off, are expected to pay normal prices much like everything else in the UK :(

Virgin Media offering £15 a month for 15Mbps. Therefore £1 a month per 1Mbps.
It may be a cheap way of actually having internet but it's terrible value for money.

The UK's fastest ISP offering the lowest value for money for those on benefits. I am in receipt of Pension Credit so qualify but I'll stick to my Gig1 package for now. Mine currently works out at £1 a month for 15.5Mbps

When I saw that BT were offering reduced costs I thought that as they own Plusnet that they would be doing it also but when I contacted them about something else I asked if they had the same scheme and was told that they didn't offer it.

Maybe they will join in sometime soon.
