edit - I'll try the card axeman, cheers.

I think I have the newer firmware as it's the Amstrad HD box, pressing services 4 sends me to sky box office lol

I can't find the scan option, anyone know how to do this?

No luck, I tried all the channels by placing a tick and testing each one.

Do I need to adjust the symbol rate and FEC?

I thought I was the only one with this prob!

I'll have a go with the instructions posted here and if I have any luck I'll tell you which one worked for me and maybe you could give that a shot again.
