does anyone know whats happened to the 'card validation' as of 4th nov

Myt Kevlar 1.4 card crapped out on the 4th, said that it couldn't validate the smartcard, haven't had a PC all weekend cos my water pump broke.

New pump is here now so I'll try Kevlar 1.5 tonight.

Junglist, what make of computer do you have that needs a water pump?

Hmmmm i was thinking that to........ Gazer.

Lmao his PC runs of current that 3 goldfish provide so the more healthy the fish the brighter the screen

soz i could not resist that and please reply because we are all really curious of the answer you give ROFL

LMAO = Laugh my ass off
ROFL = Roll on floor laughing

I have a home built PC that is water cooled as oposed to air cooled.

Instead of having a copper/aluminium heatsinc and fan strapped to my processor, I have bolted a copper water block over the cpu and then I pump water through the block to take the heat away to a radiator at the top of my case.

Here's a little picture of my water block to give u an idea of what I'm on about.
I have also water cooled my Geforce 3 card and the northbride chip on my mother board.

I put a perspex window in the side of my PC and it looks realy cool to see all the water pumping around

I use this method of cooling becaue I like to overclock my PC, my 1000mhz Athlon is currently running at 1425mhz, 300fsb so it requires alot of voltage and alot of cooling, to get the same level of cooling with fans was VERY noisy and my PC sounded like a hair dryer.

Once I have added the finishing touches (I'm waiting for some glow in the dark UV liquid to add to the water) I'll take some pictures if anyone is interested.

Is it realy that unplauseable to pump water through my PC to cool it down?? It's no different to a cooling system in a car.
Well I didn't try, I suceeded It all works perfectly. Anyway, I use distilled water in my setup cos it doesn't conduct electricity.

And well done must be aesthetically pleasing for you.

why don't you just get some decent cooling gel and a top fan with colourful lights work just the same?

just curious what kind of pump are you using?

I did have a top fan, I used to run a Swiftech MC 462 heatsinc with an 80mm Delta screamer fan, plus I had 2 120mm blowholes cut in the side of my case, it was so noisey I couldn't hear my TV propperly and the TV runs through a set of Mission speakers.

The water cooling works alot better plus it's almost silent.

Bloody hell that that looks massive.

I have somthing that size powering my pond.

It's not as big as it looks in the picture, it sits quite nicely in the front of my PC though.

what happens in a drought (drowt)
if everyone uses this water cooling method will there be a computer watercooler ban ( similar to hosepipe ban) enforced by the local water company ?
42 is the number
