A m8 of mine has a pace sky box, and a spare amstrad jobbie. He wants to know if I can clone his card using my elvis so he can have one card downstairs and one upstairs.

I'd quite like to know aswell!!!!!!

Thanks

SteveR

As far as I know the cards cant be copied, but if your mate is already subscribing to sly if he gives them a ring they will issue a second card with the same package that hes on for £12 a month

The sky cards are not copyable, unless you have some seriose hardware that would cost you near a grand...and even if you did that, they are married to the box it came from, so without some modifications youd be wasting your time and money...!!!! NICE THAUGHT THOUGH !!!

all it is, is im trying to find out were in london you can get sly cards for £130 with a years garentee, as ill take it if it works. but is it true ?????????????
sorry m8s if find out any thing i will post it here on this forum 1st thats if it works or can be done................

Well it is not correct that you can buy hardware for about thousand pound plus to enable you to copy card. You cannot copy a card onto any card that is not an original NDS card due to the ASIC chip. ie, a PIC and eeprom will not perform the special mathematics (ZKT) and routines that the NDS ASIC will. So no hardware at any cost will give you the possibility of a straight copy. Also, at present, there is no way of copying card anyway. It has always been thought that no goldcard would be able to emulate the ASIC, but someone clever once said 'never say never', but this would not allow an exact copy of an original to work or be copied!!

Advice for dondee, be careful m8 because the 'France Sly cards' scam is still around and popping up from time to time and I've heard of e-mails offering cards for £130 1years guarantee and all that crap. The scam originally had a couple of London telephone numbers so guess someone involved in the scam mis based there.

Basic answer to original question is 'no u cannot clone m8's card using your Elvis' sorry.

OK, I see an argument arising here....sly cards CAN be copied if you have the correct equpment,(not a poxy elvis, or gold card) but you also need to remarry the new card to a different box, thats the tricky and time consuming part. This is the one and only major factor why the variose sly hacks havnt hit any public forums.

Im sure we will see some info during the coming year, but personaly i think the Software decoding system via your PC (YES simalar to the old analogue stuff) will hit forums soon, the reason its not readily available is because it took hours and hours to develop, and it costs a forune to purchase it, im sure no one who as paid out for the software will make it available on the internet due to the cost...

no arguements please, it's just a discusion, ok saying that mr anfield, if for example i had say the money say £1000+ where would i go to get it?

im sure that everyone on here would chip in say £50 if they knew it was going to work.

If anyone discovers this amazing new piece of machinery then let us know. It will be easy to change the hex to allow a new box to be married. That is definately not time consuming and not the reason why sly has not been hacked. Anyone with basic knowledge of sly system knows where the box serial no. is stored on the card eeprom, and therefore the hex could be easily altered before being loaded by this amazing machine.
This does not mean its easy to unmarry original card because the security still exists.
If there are developments within the next year it will involve an emulation of some kind, and any cards available will have hex's for a full hack, not a copy of existing card hex's.
There is nothing wrong Elvis! So guys dont throw them away just yet.

i never said there is anything wrong with the Elvis, just that it will not be any good for sly digi cards....

I think You Can Do EM With S-Mouse Readers noit sure but a bloke said you could and he know his sh!t..

when mr_anfield gets this programer + cards can he also get me a tardus if i give him the cash?

Thanks for that lot guys, i'll tell my mate not to bother!!!!

Cheers!!!!

I don't want to open a can of worms

Does anyone know precisely what processor is in the card and which busses are connected to what pads on it ?

I know some of Elvis' bigger brothers...

Worth a try I suppose ?

Hi Spectre, the microprocessor on early sly cards are based on the 8051 / 8052 processor but however have an integrated ASIC which is specially manufactured by NDS. The new generation of cards are based on a tms 370 microprocessor although this is not 100% guarantee as newer cards need further experimenting, and of course they presumably have the specially manufactured chip integrated (ASIC) although it could possibly be seperate? One fact remains the ASIC is definately on all cards and pad connections are definately routed via that for security and special routine purposes. Hope this helps you?

Yeah, thanks for the info L-Mitz, but that's one of the biggest spanners in the works possible that I can think of - a custom die

I suppose the best Sly viewers can hope for is a PC based 'card emulator' - if the processors' instruction set and everything can be determined

Afterthought lol...

I'm no firmware programmer but is there any particular reasons why (Apart from not knowing what's in it) a Sly card cannot run in a software envivonment and be emulated on a PC with the correct software of course ?
