Can't load channel list

Hey guys,
Trying to FTP some bouquets to my DM518 but the stupid thing wont let me.

I keep getting

Error sending file "services" to the Dreambox.

and yes the settings are correct, I can FTP in and out of the box with those settings. and the ftp path is set to "satellite reciever" under options.

using dbedit 3.0

Other box's work perfectly.

make sure in dreambox edit you have seleted satellite settings in options as default tends to be enigma 2

You may have to manually change the settings in there to point to the proper location for the services file

Alright guys,
I've tried that and it wont work.
It does successfully ftp the files through to the box but there are no new bouquets on the box.

even tried it on a clean flash and nothing even appears as though i didn't put the channel list through in the first place.

Any ideas folks?

Figured out what the problem was,
the channel list i was trying to load is shagged.

False alarm!

Alright I think I've got some serious problems this time.
certain channels just will not work.
and by certain I mean most, like all of the sky sports, sky 1, most sky movies (apart from sky showcase) and so many others.
I've tried sgtflipflop silverfox rats vix on jade 3 pli, open pli and neutrino commando 14.3.
even did a couple of scans.
I've checked my dish and it looks about right.
can't be a boxkey issue as all of the other clients are watching sky sports etc.

does anybody have any ideas?

strange,
tried a different box.
and the channels that do and do not work are different. so for example sky 1 etc works but mtv etc wont. which is opposite to the box above.

alright then.
so it seems to be very image dependant.
I flashed the box with the openpli oscam-cccam image that was uploaded by fes786 in the downloads section and almost every single channel works flawlessly.

Im having the same problems with that latest open pli maxvar... Going back to old faithful pli jade 3 tonight when i get home..

unfortunately I'm going to have to put her to bed now.

how can this be possible?
would it be something to do with the kernel or something because obviously the frequency and such is correct, but the box just does not recognise that.

Out of interest mate, have you tried the commando 14.4??
ive got this running on a 500s back home. Its ok when you get your head around it.. And if i have read correctly, the bouquets auto update after a scan.
That if you set the bouquet setting to 'update'

Its worth looking at while your flashing various images and pissing about

sorry I meant 14.4 above.
yes I've tried that image. didnt enable auto update but I did manually do a scan but opted to leave bouquets as is.
I'll have a look again a little later.

I think the bouquet update is on by default..
Just scan and the rest does itself... I think?

Possible someone, with a bit more info, reading this thread could confirm??

just an update mate... ive just flashed 14.4 to my 500..

some of the channs didnt clear... so i rescanned... the chans did not update in the bouquets.. they were removed!

looks like im back to jade 3

now on pli jade 3... and nothing works.. well very little???

none of the freeview stuff like dave watch etc..

sky 1 wont work.. sky sports 2 is gone... sky atlantic gone..........

i give up for now :/
