got a sky satelite dish with the twin output on the lnb
was wondering if its possible to split one of the feeds from this dish that goes into the sky box.
ive tried a normal splitter and the sky and freesat say no signal.
ive put a direct feed from the disk into my freesat tv and no problems
i know its not the spliter or the 2 cable feeds from the splitter as these work with my cable box..
is there something special i need or cant this be done
any input is gratefully recieved

I don't think you can m8, I tried the same thing a few years back and neither box would work, may have been a weak signal though and the splitter just made it too weak, I'm no Sat expert though.

Can't you just try and see what happens?

the lnb can send one of 4 'bands' to the reciever, the band required for the tuned in channel is requested, and thats how the picture is on your screen, when you split a dish cable, the lnb gets conflicting information, and this can also damage your equipment as its possible to stuff 18V into a 12V output of one box, or to combine the 2 box signals and stuff 36V into the lnb when it expects no more than 19V

as fearona says, get an LNB with multiple outpust, theyre cheap now :)

thanks for the help
been on ebay and ordered a new one
