Anyone see the report on bbc watchdog this week 20/9/01 read about it http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/reports/reports_wbtanytime.shtml
in a nut shell heavy users are cloggin their sysytem platform and 36,000 like me have been given a new dial up number and classed as black listed thier plan is to make it hard for me to connect at certain times to get me pissed off and leave em . Thing is i have sent emails letting them know i intend to stay and not only that but every time i cant connect i colour me chart in and sending it off to the DTI or OFTEL. Any one else want to join forces with me share the BT experiance .Let me know BT people if you too have been blacl listed a heavey user

i use BT Surftime now i know why it takes me 4 or 5 attempts to get connected as im a very heavy user (6pm - 8am).i think i will start takeing notes as well

Thats why i left them and went to NTL 24/7 as it was taking upto 12 attempts to get on........Gazer

i read today (25 sept) that bt have had to remove their advertisement for bt anytime because it stated that the service was reliable and fast which as we all know its not so just thought i would tell u all.......LOL

I was recently given a new dialup number, and have had trouble connecting. I wouldn't say I was a heavy user (though my teenage son could be! )
How would I know if I had been blacklisted?

if you read the watchdog report u can see the link on my first post it will tell you that everyone with the new dial up code is blacklisted 36,000 of us ,I think its shocking and in real terms corprate terrorism i mean Iam bloddy fed up its even worse for me now 3 days in a row connecting only after 9 pm I have recenrtly snitched to oftel help me lodge ya complained at the web site of oftel please

Hi m8's, I've been thinking about changing my tariff to AnyTime, from SurfTime, I'm now putting it on hold......My last phone bill detailled some 600 calls to the SurfTime number adding upto about 400hrs on-line (in a quarter), would this constitute heavy usage??
As for dial-up problems (with SurfTime 0844 number), I have a few every now and again, but not day in and day out.

TTFN
