Mobile Phones Blackberry curve sync issues with new SD card

just got my daughter a bigger micro sd card but the phone wont sync the music across and we are unsure why :err:

the old card is a 2gb micro sd and its FAT but she has formatted this to FAT32 and it still works
the new card is 8gb HC micro sd card tried FAT32, NTFS and EX FAT but it wont sync

is it that the new card is HC ?

any help greatly appreciated

John did you format the new card in the phone? if not try formatting in the phone and them try the music. I had a problem with a card and an HTC , I've not had a blackberry so don't know if you can format cards via phone menu

can't help other wise unless these settings help

In memory (on the blackberry)
Compression: Disabled
Media Card Support: On
Mass Storage Mode Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage Support: On
Auto Enable Mass Storage When Connected: Prompt
