As title asks- is there any advantage in having a super-duper fast PC for mining, or can any old thing just plug away at it?
I know very little on the subject of Bitcoin although I get the general idea.
A friend has asked me about the possibility of running a laptop on solar power. Which is perfectly viable during the day (here) but would need sufficient battery backup to flywheel through the night- hence the power question. If a cheap netbook or similar could do the job then it shouldn't be too difficult.
TIA.
