hello i have a dell vostro 1540 and my bios is locked and i really dont want to take the laptop apart to get to the jumper could someone please help me and the service tag is 6LCQNT1
I think it's the easiest to reset it via the jumper or remove the cmos battery, there's no other option. Maybe yours has a master bios password but that depends on your bios. If you know the manufacture you can look it up on Google
