Looks very interesting mate :)

Looks built for kids that is for sure, which at 5 (my youngest is 6) would be perfect as they can be a little rough with things (my Ipad as an example!!!)

Seems also like the app store is for kids app's only which has to be a bonus if this is for your little boy :)

Thanks Mick, it has great reviews, but it is the most expensive at about £150, but if it works well and doesn't hang/freeze/reset/crash then it must be worth it.

He uses my iPhone and the iPad to play games but the phone is a bit small and the iPad is a bit too sensitive.

I got my 5yr old for Xmas a scroll pocket 4.3" has ics 4.0 capacitive touch very sturdy and only costs £50 from novatech
Runs everything fine has google play and is already rooted

I recommend either Ritalin or Lithium; either should calm them down enough to read a good book.

The question you need to ask yourself, can you get updates for those unbranded tabs? If not you are left with a paperweight in 12 months time.

NOT sent from my PC/Laptop.

As much as I hate to say but I would put in the extra cash and get the nexus 7. Everything 'just works' and you don't have to worry about future upgrades. Its also reasonably well built.

^^^^^^ what oneman says...
The nexus 7 is an excellent tablet, & you will get updates as soon as they are ready (not having to wait months for them)...

It is but a 5yr won't need that I'd say get them a cheep one and if they look after it when they a little older and cheep one is outdated get a nexus 7 or similar
