Best dish and LNB

I am Located near Aberdeen in Scotland and have problems with poor reception in heavy cloud and rain (not that unusal here). I am using a metronic 80cm dish and LNB on a motor. In good weather I have no problems and watch channels from several sats with ease. Is there a better LNB i could use to improve reception? Or would I be better increasing the size of dish (how big?).

Any advice would be helpful!

I'm not clued up on LNB performance or quality but the further north you are, the bigger a dish you'll need.

Most folk in the middle of the UK will be ok with an 80cm dish but being up in Aberdeen I would probably go for a 1m or 1.1m dish.

Cheers for that, I wondered about the LNB's though. Some must be better than others?
