iPad Backing up before upgrading

I'm currently on IOS 5 (Jailbroken) and was wanting to download the Puffin browser, but it requires IOS 6. What is the latest version of IOS 6 that can be jailbroken? Does anyone have link to the IOS, so I can load it manually.

Additionally, I have a mixture of games that are legit and some are custom loads. How do I get the ipa's off the current IOS to reload them onto the new version?

It's an Ipad 2 I'm using.

Thanks mate. Tried it twice now on 7.04 and keep getting stuck on the white apple logo. Seems this is quite common
