are there any max v clones yet

hi all i have a max v
and was wanting to no if there are any clones out yet, i have used the photos that are on the site and really my max dont fit in any of them

the psu looks like a cross between both the photos that are on here
it has silver metal cover around scart connections
it has mpu on the card slot cover
it has stranded wire but not twisted round but it is overlap once
and i would say the serial no is in between the sharp and bold
it makes a loud click when you press the buttons
there is red wax/silicone or some thing like that on the screws on the boards




and it came from www.ctidirect.co.uk
ow and has this box

the box is not the same

what do you think?

Nice to see my work turn up in so many different places, by the way I added a few extra points to that .doc a while later and they can be found here View attachment 37384

They have changed the colour of the box from Black to White now, this I think is to keep ahead of the copies and as far as I'm aware no Black ones have been cloned but if buying new it should really be in a White box.

From those 3 photos it's a clone alright, sorry to say.

There are a couple of give-aways

1) Red over the screws (only on clones).
2) Black instead of Green parts on the Power Supply board (all Eurovox power supplies have the Green parts).

ye sure om the psu but the psu still dont look like the clone ones do????

That's a cloned PSU.

Once you don't upgrade the software everything will be OK, there's no problem loading Channel Files but do NOT flash it with any of the latest .bin files as it will kill it.

Carry on watching your channels as normal and forget about it being a clone, it should stay working for you.

ok np thanks i had a eurovox 2 for 2 to 3 year never upgraded and it worked well for the time i had it,

if i get a year out of it its been worth it....
