apple tv xbmc

fianlly got there and got access to my pc running windows 7

just have a few questions what are the best things to do know

what video formats are supported and do i have to put them in a certain place for them to stream

what are the best supported video formats and where is the best place to download the films from i use nzb's at the mo


but am looking forward to get it going asap

Im not sure about apple Tv. But i have been using xbmc for years now. Fist on original xbox and now on a dedicated HTPC.

It will play everything you throw at it. .mkv .avi (xvid, divx, h.264) It depends on hardware if it'll support HD video. However I think the apple tv can play upto 720p (may be 1080p, im not sure)

Most movies and tv shows are going to be .avi and HD stuff is usually .mkv. XBMC will play both.

And Nzb are fine, i use torrents, however Newsgroups are better imo.
