I've got the latest version of Mame v0.108...it's over 50GB! : shocked2
It currently plays over 6200 games.
Sometimes a newer version of Mame means old roms don't work so they are redumped. But you can get the latest version of Mame32 here:
the mame32 qa/test and art dept.
A good place to look for roms is in alt.binaries.emulators.mame
