any1 know when the dreambox 500 pvr will be out?

(new model that is capable of taking a 2.5" hdd if any1 doesent know)

There are Dreamboxes that can take a hdd but they are not DM500 models. The DM7020 and DM7025 are both capable of this.

I think end of the year comes 500PVR

the 500c pvr from what i know was due out early this year but has been put on hold due the upand comming dreambox 8000

i dont think thers plans for the 500c pvr release just yet

get ya self a nas drive instead lol

the 500c with a built in drive?, that would be something but i would worry about heat probs, i recal ppl saying they are having boxes crash in the hot weather, having an internal hd would add to this. I personally think they will most likely add a usb / ide connector to the back of the box, this would make sence to do as these things are tiny!. Also the beauty about having the box on a network is being able to burn straight to disk (although ive yet to do this), our dvd recorder went for a dive months ago and we have been using a video (yuck), but now we can record and have the films / proggies done without realtime recording... much quicker.
