Any reason why my Samsung won't play 3GP videos captured on a nokia?

Any reason why the Samsung won't play my videos that were captured on a Nokia....?? 3GP format.....They just come up as un-supported and black squares.....

Strange, you'd think an old phone video format would still work on newer phones but ho hum I guess your best bet would be to install a 3rd party media player (did vlc ever get released on android)? Or convert them to mp4 or something on your pc and copy them Back across

VLC has not been released, apparently they are still working on it.

I use mobi and rockplayer, between them they can pretty much handle any format.

Just normal OFW mate, never got round to installing a mod on it, -rooted, but no CFW.
