Any advice?

Bought a 2nd hand 360 off fleabay with a samsung ms28 drive in it.

Flashed it today using Jungleflasher and ixtreme 1.6 firmware but now it won't play any copies at all. It will play dvd's but whenever I put a game in, it just sticks on the reading and then says open tray.

Any ideas?? This is a copy of the log file from JF:

Does that seem like its flashed ok?

It was a bit iffy reading original games when it was on stock,kept getting the 'please put disc in an xbox 360 console'. Took 2-3 goes and then it would load up. Does that mean the laser is fooked?

How hard is it to spoof a drive? I had an old 360 that got a E74 error, but the drive in that was an MS28 as well. Would it be worth taking that drive out and putting it in the one I bought from fleabay?

The write is fine, the x/y doesnt matter as long as you have 16 dots (sectors) on each bank

hi m8 i would say its ur drive i had the same with my lg drive its either the motor in side the drive or yes its ur laser. Buy a new drive on flebay and swap the boards over inside or just flas ur new 1......

See this is where I get a bit lost.

Can I just replace the drive and flash as normal with Jungleflasher or do I have to flash with the firmware from the dead drive?

Do what I did mate and buy a replacement HD67 laser from ebay. Cost me £9-49 with free postage.

yes u could buy a laser m8 but with mine it was the motor that went as well.... as for flashing it m8 i am not to sure but i think if u buy the same drive on flebay and swap the boards over inside with ur old 1. You should then be all up and running but i am not a 100% sure on that m8.....
