Can anyone give me some advice. I have a computer downstairs and i am with NTL. We have just got a new computer so i have given my son the old one for his bedroom. We are on broadband so what is the best way that we can set him up on the internet so that we can use ours downstairs and he can still use his upstairs. We are on broadband and will i have to pay ntl extra for using two computers

Get yourself a D-Link, Netgear or Linksys DSL Modem/Router/Wireless Access Point. If you shop around some places are doing bundles with a USB wireless adapter or wireless card (for the 'remote' pc) and you'll be in business! Depending on brand & wireless speed (unless you plan on doing alot of heavy file transfering over wireless then don't go for the latest "Pre N" types) 50-80 should cover it. Thoughly recommend D-Link, available at Dabs HERE

Have fun :)

adsl router will be no good so you will require the cable type router, plenty around if you look

Yes get a ADSL router and modem, you can eva go wireless or wired depends on how hard it would be to run a wire from your pc to his.

As stated ADSL Will not work for you mate, here are the products you need

This is used with your ntl connection

This is used with your PC, which picks up on the signal produced by the wireless router
