iPhone advice re: unlocking 2g Iphone

Hi folks,

I have just acquired an Iphone 2g for my partner and want to unlock it, I have seen some videos on utube so got a fair bit of ideas..

just want the best advice before I do this from folk in here,..

can someone advise me which one is the best way ziphone etc...

and other useful advice will be greatly appreciated..

upgrade the firmware to 2.1 and use QuickPwn V2.1 to jailbreak and unlock the phone
shouldn't take long - howto here

Just a wee question... Can I update and install applications as usual via iTunes?
