I tried to semi future proof as possible and bought the new EX7000 HD+
it also has pvr via a usb drive function.

Easy to program via usb and rs232, and amend channel list via usb and rs232.

Works a treat and records great.
firmware getting better and better

Hi i recently purchased the eurovox 5100. I like this box because the hard drive can be inserted internally. Also it is simple to use.

I got it at a good price with free delivery from [removed by hackmax] Eurovox Digivox Starview Cable Boxes - FREE DELIVERY[/url]

hope this helps

the 5100 says only compatible with Seagate Momentus 5400.3 120Gb - is that right? is it a hardware thing or do newer firmwares support different drives?
