Advice needed for photoshoot at 1.30am

I am intending to do a photoshoot at 1.30am.
It will be in a garage forecourt & I will be taking pics of rally cars when they come into refuel.
This is what I intend to use.

Canon EOS500D
Lens is Canon EF 50mm 1.4
Programme is P
ISO is 400
External Canon 270EX

I would appreciate any advice in case these settings are wrong as I need to get it right first time.

Personally I would go look on talkphotography there are loads of decent threads with others work on there you can get the settings they use from the pics etc

When you have done your shots post them on here for us to see
