Advice needed for a newbie on HDA850/KVA780

Hi all. Excellent forum I must say.

I am wanting to buy either the Kryptview HD A850 or KV A780 as Virgin and Sky are bending me over on the price.

How long would these devices likely work for?
How safe is it?
Is there a better box box than these available?

no not for cable,and if you go sat how long a future no one knows.780 running for many years and the 750 now dead was running before n3:licka:

Just to clarify, sorry did you mean it's not safe for cable? or theres no better box for cable? Installing a dish wouldn't be an option for me unfortunately.

no one knows the answer to that but have been going for a long time now ...

yes its safe

if you have no sat dish installed on your house then the HDA850 is the better one to get m8 for cable
