well yes you could make a super ecm proof card it gives you more room to mess with so if you knew how to make hex's you could design a larger file
ie the kevlar uses secanix soft (modiefied) but they had to get rid of the au section because there was not much room --- but with a 64k card there is loads of room

Also, if I was to get a 64k card, would I be able to solve the problem with the philips boxes... or is that not the same thing?

May aswell go for the cheaper ones. The ECM dodging part of the code is written into the PIC hex so it wouldn't make any difference.
