I recently bought an RAC 2000 (UK & ROI)
for the price it has been very good, i have just downloaded the pc software etc with a view to adding the France map before arriving in france (silly'o'clock tomorrow)
I would have paid for the additional map of france but I object to being ripped off!
route66 want to charge nearly £50!!!
Thats almost as much as I paid for the device including software and UK maps!!!
Is there anywhere that I can download the France or Europe map from?
The software and maps all work from the flash memory on the device itself rather than an SD card.
Although there is an sd card slot and I do have a blank SD to play with.
The device runs windows CE core 5.0
Been reading/researching/downloading stuff for the last 5 hours and getting nowhere...
If I can avoid the rather drastic step of overwriting the device with another software system (tomtom or similar) I would prefer to do so.
