500C or 500S?

Which box do i need ?
I have cable broadband feed to my router but also have a motorised sat dish set up.
I guess i can use the 500S hooked up to my sat dish so it doesn't matter what internet feed it is ?

Definately the 500s, many more channels on a motorised setup than on a cable one.

there are a few boxes that have multi tuners which can decode both - but cable is currently encrypted at the minute so it would make sense to go for satellite since there are many more CS options
