3g usb modem

hello,
i have just purchased a 500s ,and am a newbie to the sat receivers,could someone answer this question please,could i use a 3g usb modem on my dreambox?.
and if possible could someone advise how please.

Not directly with a 500s it has no USB support...maybe via a 3G router to which the Dreambox is connected locally...

No that wont work, the Dreambox 500S images dont have USB hardware detection ior suitable drivers and software to use a 3G modem...

have been searching around the place ,can anyone advise how to bridge connections if i was to use my laptop,usb 3g modem,connection to dreambox via ethernet cable

Not to sure how to bridge it mate, although I am sure some smartie will say, but if you buy that router shown above you can then split your usb modem into different pcs etc

You can do it 2 ways, either share your net connection from your pc, or get a 3g router.

Scan do an edimax router for around £30. This is the easiest way.
