I just bought a 3ds yesterday and did an update, has newest 4.5 update. I also have the r4 card with microchip filled with games. Pop it in and I can't figure out how to get the games to show up. Guessing the chip needs some kind of kernel or file on it along with the games ? I have the "R4 SDHC" card, its white and I believe the name is Dual-Core (R4 cards - Nintendo ds r4 - R4i sdhc Official website). I'm new to these game systems, I'm just setting it up for a christmas gift for my sister. Any tips ?

the card needs firmware on the sd card to make it work

r4 cards work on dslites only m8..

you would need a an acekard, supercard or one of the r43i cards..

i have never even seem that card before lol.

it will only work on 3ds 4.2 and lower

use either one
the update file is a .nds file, it will show up like a game.

just start iit and folow intructions..

so i would put the eos file on the card then the firmware update then put the card in the 3ds and it will update it for me
or do i need the eos file ,or just put the file i downloaded from your link lol

you need the card firmware and the update file

then u need to put in a console that it works in, like a dslite or old dsi.


tbh i dunno if i would attempt to update a clone, could break it....

i think it would work mate if i knew the right files to put on the root of the card lol
