3D surround

Hello on my new solo2 in the A/V settings i have an option to set audio output to 3D surround sound.when i do this and select it to HDMI audio is fantastic but every time i put box into standby and back on i get no audio.Its an easy fix i just turn off surround and normal audio is back but is there a way to make 3D surround stick.? by any chance..anyone done it and stays on no probs??

I have a similar problem myself, I have the box connected to a rf modulator, if I set 3d surround to HDMI I loose audio on other TV's, so I just leave it off all the time, doesn't really answer your question.
