no it can.If it is bricked from vm ecm, then only way to un brick it is too desolder the TOS flach chip wipe It and reprogram it with a dump from a working ambit

then solder it back in.

That function is to restore a working bootloader to sigma infested 200 modems

It can't replace a bootloader where it's been overwritten because the modem has to be able to boot and accept telnet/max232 commands in order to reflash it in software

Instead of resoldering the chip directly, why not solder a chip connector onto the PCB so the chip can just be pushed in and out at will, good incase there hit again.
