02 money off pay as you go phone

My friend told me today that he went in to o2 and got £45 off a new mobile because he tops up is pay as you go mobile regularly all you have to do is go in to a o2 shop and give your mobile number pay as you go only and the will tell you how much you get off. anyone else done this

Yes my mate got offered £16.50 off but she only tops up a £10 every now and again so still worth it.
