No , IMO I'd buy the SHARP LC42XD1E 42" High Definition 1080p £1499 jbut shopping around and using discount codes you should get it for £1100 or so. worth the extra £100 IMO

A mate of mine has just bought a Panasonic Viera including a stand for the same kind of money. I think it was £1000 + delivery from Dixons or Currys, think he managed to get free delivery by using vouchers.

My dad has just got a Sony Bravia though and that looks good although there was no stand and I have no idea what he paid for it.

I would personally go for a Plasma over an LCD if the price was in the same region.

yes i,d agree all day, the bravia is the one to get, i advertised just b4 the xmas on here for a currys code for my nephew as he wanted the 42" version with full ambilight surrond, and when he got it we set it up and man what a picture, that would be my investment. jon
