No , IMO I'd buy the SHARP LC42XD1E 42" High Definition 1080p £1499 jbut shopping around and using discount codes you should get it for £1100 or so. worth the extra £100 IMO

Try Rats Dixons codes in vouchers and codes for dixons site, just out of interest to see how much it comes in at.

Anyone who spends that kind of money on a gogglebox, no matter how good its supposed to be, has more money than sense !
 
A mate of mine has just bought a Panasonic Viera including a stand for the same kind of money. I think it was £1000 + delivery from Dixons or Currys, think he managed to get free delivery by using vouchers.

My dad has just got a Sony Bravia though and that looks good although there was no stand and I have no idea what he paid for it.

I would personally go for a Plasma over an LCD if the price was in the same region.
