Are you talking about the sly sports channels Rat cos my 1-5 have disappeared?

My 1-5 has also disappeared, they were going last night but some of them were still available.
Doing a rescan now to see if can pick them up.

Yeah
this has been happening for a bit now

if you do a network scan they will just come back no changes needed

Why ?

Bloody odd, I tried scanning the single transponders but there was no channels there, did a full network scan and they've all come back as normal.
Here we go again lol.

They are simply moving the channels from one satellite to another ,Astra 2A to Astra 2E and vica versa .
Sometimes it involves different frequencies and different FEC codes (Forward Error Correcting) but other times its just a different FEC .
You may need to update the satellite.xml file too as some of these new frequencies werent used before.

Spike TV from Viacom has launched in the UK today. This new channel will feature exclusive shows from the UK and US, including the entire Breaking Bad series from the very beginning that will feature every weekday at 11pm from today.
The channel will also feature a line-up of real life entertainment programming, including Fail Army, Tattoo Disasters UK and the acclaimed Lip Sync Battle, a show featuring guest celebrities who go head-to-head miming along to their favourite songs.

On Freeview (including YouView or EE TV viewers), Spike has launched on channel 31. Viewers who still receive 5 USA on channel 31 need to retune, 5USA is now on channel 21.

Viacom and Virgin Media failed to agree on distribution terms, so Spike remains unavailable at present.

Spike is available on the following channels:

Freeview - Channel 31
Freesat - Channel 141
Sky - Channel 160
BT TV - Channel 31
Talk Talk - Channel 31
Virgin Media - Not available at present

The reference to 28.2ºE in connection with the position of Astra 2, although strictly accurate, can be confusing. It actually refers to the line of longitude at which the satellite system is located above the equator. So the exact compass bearing of the system depends very much on where are you at the time. It's unlikely that a compass will be accurate enough to aim the dish by compass bearing alone, but it will get you in the right general area to start aiming the dish more precisely. (Of course, geologists will tell you that the magnetic north and south poles flip over every million years or so and that we're overdue for the next one - which will make a bit of a mess of United Kingdom

Ahhh simple as that :) Thanks for the info mate, makes a lot of sense now :)

Yea just had a play around and if you go in your sat finder while on the channel and set fec to auto it picks it up almost straight away.
Cheers

I've a technomate, done a scan and still havn't got SS 1 to 5 anyone got the satellite.xml file I could try.

Thanks.

Updated satellites.xml done network scan
opened in DBE made a couple of changes
transferred to receiver
no Sky Sports channels

LOL

so it looks like you have to either do your own network scan but quicker to set FEC to auto tbh
