Got a backup box here that is chirpy and stuttering however it appears to like the latest images (thanks), altough not perfect but at least you can watch TV for half hour (other images would just stutter even after reboot straight away). It will only play ball on ucode 14 and built in (13 gives channel not available).

I have the Gbox support pack and Gzimmer but cant remember where to put gzimmer assming gbox can be put into this image.

Also in the magic files from ukcvs there is a libcrypto.so.0.9.7 file what is the purpose of this.

Box has been running stutter free for 20 minutes which is a record for this box. It previously was fine (even had the IDE interface working before it decided to play up)

Cheers for all the hard work it really is appreciated

Box has gone funny again no amount of reboots will allow anything but a stuttery picture/sound. Will try again in the morning once everything has cooled down. Really thought this image had cracked this box.

Google is ur fiend:

RPM resource libcrypto.so.0.9.7
RPM resource libcrypto.so.0.9.7. Provided by. openssl-0.9.7b-1.i386, Secure Sockets Layer and cryptography libraries and tools

Hardly surprising since the magic is all about cryptography - encryption/decryption :)

Hi,
There is a Gbox support pack for Commando 11.3 here: h**p://www.mercs.us/crypt/gbox_support_pack_C11.3.rar
Follow the instructions in the readme.

Also try removing the Modem board and card readers as this will reduce the draw on the power supply and result in less heat generated and better airflow. The link below is to a guide on installing a cooling fan in a Sagem (it also covers the "Safe"removal of the parts I mentioned).

Most images will already have this file added, if you compile one youself or start modding a basic fta image you will need to add it. It is already in commando 11.3.

Modem & card readers have been removed (many moons ago). Have added the Gbox support pack (the 11.3 version) but when I go into the EMU options it does not give the gbox version. Also do you need to have gbox switched on or does the switch cams and copy function take care of this.

I think I have done something wrong though as the cam is not listed as mentioned so dont stand a change for it to work (unless it doesn't show in this image)

Cheers

Did you chmod 755 gb*x after you transferred it to the box.

Yep all changed. Should I be able to see it within the EMU menu and see the version? Not got access to the box at the moment so cant double check.

Cheers

You wont see the gbox emu version unless you edit the "emu_versions.txt" file so don't worry about this, gbox should appear in the softcam menu and say active following smart switch function. If it does not you need to check you have all the files in the correct folders and have applied the 755 file rights correctly.
The gbox support pack for 11.3 does not use the gzimmer file so also check you have the correct support pack i.e. the one from my link.
