error 1035

hi all

im installing wad files to downgrade from 3.3 to 3.2e but when installing 3.2eb IOS30-64-v1040.wad it comes up with an error 1035 message, ive tried formatting the wii memory but it still does it.

has anyone else had this problem that could tell me how to cure it

IOS30 is used for the system menu so maybe it is in use?

What you could try is autobooting wad-manager from a disc (this would be before the system menu loads) and try installing the wad file. This would require Preloader or Starfall (Starfall is able to do this right?).

EDIT:
After reading your post again in the essential softmod stuff I realized that you're trying to downgrade your Wii with the wad files that were ment to be used for upgrading your Wii to 3.2. You should use IOS Downgrader and cIOS Downgrader instead of the wad files.

thanx scarfish. did the job. altho i noticed the backup launcher is really different, is there anyway to change it to the same backup launcher as the normal one?

can your tell me what the difference between upgrading using wad files and downgrading using cios and ios downgrader.. i notice the backup launcher was different. but the big difference was i got need to speed to play on my nephews after using cios and ios downgrader but no on my own which was upgraded using english wad files

Do you get the 002 error? You've installed exactly the same cIOS36 rev7 and Backup Launcher on both Wii's?

What the difference could be is that if you have a higher version than 3.2 there may be some IOSes extra or a higher version of them which won't be touched by IOS Downgrader nor CIOS Downgrader.

no both on same firmware 3.2e altho the backup launchers are different, my backup launcher is blue and white. while my nephews is black and green (gamma 0.3) , when i softmodded my wii it was with files my friend had downloaded he said they wer the softmod for dummy files but now im not so sure. is there anything i can do to redo mine again?

oh yes i do get the 002 error on the blue screen

Remove the current backup launcher (if you have the wad of the backup loader you've installed put it back on your SD-card, go into Wad Manager and press - on the backup launcher or use Any Title Deleter or just remove the loader as you normally remove channels).
Install the gamma backup loader and have fun .
