Browser FIREFOX+ magnet links

I am trying firefox out as I am fed up with chrome and the privacy focus but I cannot get magnet links to work in firefox any one know how I have tried everything I have found on the net to no avail

All I do is, copy the magnet link, open my torrent client, click on add torrent link and bobs your uncle

My Firefox isn't getting the link for me to copy I have utorrent set to open automatically for magnet links . I have no problem with chrome getting the links

I have disabled not scripts addblock and zenmate no other addons installed but Firefox still not working on magnet links

I found this that works click add torrent and type magnet:?xt=urn:btih:infohash
Replace infohash with the numbers given in pirate bay

the text is being changed into smiley it is actually a colon followed by a question mark I have no idea why this :? comes out when I type characters as stated
