DM800HD with Sim2 inside - on BL72

DM800HD with Sim2 inside - on BL72 - Whats latest image i can use?

Hi guys

i have a DM800HD, it has a sim inside it with a sticker on that says sim 2 inside

its currently running BL72 and pli, what is the latest image i can use on this without buying sim 2.10? am i stuck on BL72?

Sim2 is the same as sim2.10 as far as I'm aware m8 so any of the latest sim2 images for the dm800hd should be fine,
but you will need to update the bootloader to match the image

original sim2 capabilities are only up to bl 72. That said some boxes stating "sim2 inside" may well have sim 2.01 so I would say open her up and check what is written on the sim itself

its defo not 2.10

its 2 years old and always had BL72 images on it, it had rev J tuner which died so i put in a REv M and all working fine again

im trying to put on a BL75 image for sim 2.01 now, will report back on how it goes

hi all

right, flashed sim201e-75-Dream-Elite Black Hole_13-OE1.6-DM800-20100419 and got CA Error

so crapped myself lol, loaded up dreamup and got on to the browser again

now flashed DE-133dv3PHOENIX-dm800-20092010_SIM1_2_BL70_OCP_v2 and it worked but now on BL70. on this image on boot up and menu it says only for sim 2.01 so im assuming i have that.

bit confused now, am i supposed to be able to use ANY sim2.01 image? regardless of the BL? the BL always confuses me lol

can i go from BL70 to BL76? if so what files do i need to use lol

If you cannot flash a bootloader above 72 then you must have a sim2. If you have a card programmer it can be updated to sim2.01

ive just tried sim201-SSL76c-de-133dv3PHOENIX-dm800-20092010 and CA error again

ive read i may have to flash to a BL75 image which has latest kernal and flash then i can go to BL76

I dont think it'll make any difference. Take the lid off your box and whip the sim out. Will take 2 mins and will confirm one way or the other

ive got a infinity USB programmer handy

many years old, not sure if it will do these sims?
