I'm not sure if you guys know this, some will and some won't, did you know that you can stream your Dreambox to your PC (I've worked on remote streaming and might give that another bash it worked quite well but that was an old Dreambox 600, i also got my Dreambox on my xbox 360 windows media center or any PC that runs WMC...see a post i made ages ago on that one..)

It's a very small PDF that i have attached just one page, but it'll keep the lurkers at bay and might get a few more registered members!

gr8 for watching tv on the patio using the laptop,,, been using it for ages but i agree there will be newbies that dont know bout it,, good repost m8y

Just a quick note to add that your DM must be tuned to the channel you click on to stream, otherwise you get an error from VLC like this:
streaming-failed.jpg
(I guess there's a config somewhere to auto-zap to the channel you've chosen to stream, but I have no idea where it is)

Personally I have a piece of PHP that I run on my server which tells me the channel my DM is tuned to and has a link to click on that starts streaming automatically

Currently tuned to BBC 1 London

Saturday Kitchen started at Saturday 19th of November 2011 10:00:00 AM for 90 min.
Host James Martin is joined by guest chefs Glynn Purnell and Stephen Terry, while singer Russell Watson faces his food heaven or food hell.

Doesn't appear to like FF8 at the moment either (if you use WebTV as opposed to VLC), as soon as you close the WebTV window it crashes FF.
