An even easier way of adding a CCCam line to your Spiderbox is using a simple text editor to arrange the line details then copy the file to your memory stick.
This removes the biggest stumbling block which is mistyping the line details as you are copying it exactly as the sender sent it.
Now an example, imagine the line supplied was as follows :

thisismyline.yesitis.com
12000
myuserid
mypassword

Using a text editor (I use Notepad) copy the enclosed sample into notepad and arrange as

thisismyline.yesitis.com 12000 myuserid mypassword

now copy back to the sample which will now look like this

C: thisismyline.yesitis.com 12000 myuserid mypassword

Save and copy to your USB memory stick then transfer into your Spiderbox.
That's is all done.
Please note the above details are purely an example don't try to input those as the are fictitious.

you can load the cfg file via usb or enter the line via the remote in the menu,s. dont worry you can break your box, just enter the details and see if it connects. if you have any problems reboot your stb/router. regards mdt

Thanks Jimi, allthough as discussed it doesnt work for the spider SD..Cheers matey.

OK what you get will depend on which packages your lone opens, normally the line will come with details on which packages it's usable with. It's difficult for me to answer as we are on difficult ground here so first check with the line provider but now see your PM.

i give up jimi. this whole thing is doin my nut in

Never give up, as you know it's simple to install a line it's just getting a reliable one that can be a pain. Maybe someone who has a good stable server will contact you, once you get that sorted out you will truly be amazed.

Just followed this advice but the process doesn't work for me.

I've cut and pasted the login details I was supplied.
I've put them in a file called server.cfg and copied that to my USB stick.

On the spiderbox I have pressed menu on the remote, navigated to USB and clicked OK. Highlighted server.cfg file and pressed ok. It asks whether I want to import and I answer yes.
I've rebooted the box and gone to Network and then client setup and I can't see the data in there.

Ok you can enter the details with the remote control it's just as easy that way. Give it a try.

The details I was given appeared to have a space in them so I was trying the USB method to over come it. I was then told to ignore the extra information that I had been sent as this was applicable for the spiderbox.

Confused why the USB method didn't work.

I also tried to update the softcam keys. I deleted them from the box and then loaded them from USB. That worked fine so at a loss to understand why the cline data didn't load. Do all the cline entries have to be empty for it to work?

Hi just download jimmy's server config zip file, open it put it straight on a usb drive, your better having one to use just for your spider files,
when you find the lines you want to use right click at the start of the line and keep pressed then drag along the line till all the line goes blue,
now right click and copy the line.
put your usb in the computer, open my computer.open the usb it will have a drive listed for it ,
When open double click the server config file when it opens right click and select copy now you have the file in your config,
now click the red cross and exit,it will ask you do you want to save changes click yes.
take out the usb drive from your comp and put it into the spider.
them open menu go through the menu to usb press ok on usb, you will then have a list of files on the screen goto server config press ok it will ask you do you want to import click yes and your line is loaded.
Once you have done it,it will only take you seconds next time.

Any help on this would be great. I have done as fandm states, but I can't get the config file to open on the usb. I get message that Windows can not open it and I need a program! What am I doing wrong?

I have a spiderbox 9000HD and have copied and pasted cline into notepad and put on usb then connected usb into stb and menu then usb and when i open file or try to with ok nothing happens for any advice would be most grateful ??

im sorry you miss understand, I am unable to get line into stb through usb

Unless you have a dedicated line that you have paid for, you are wasting your time, all the free lines have that many people using them, they are usless,
You really have to be lucky to get one that will give you even a evenings viewing.

Hi everyone newbie on board, when you load the cfg file do you have to erase the info already on ie thisismyline etc before adding a line?
