Morning all - new member looking for a little advice.
I stumbled on this site whilst trying to get a little more life out of my TM1500, which up until now was just running on standard patch/softcam updates. I found the thread on HDVB and WSP, opening up the world of Newcamd and CCcam. However, I'm struggling!
I've downloaded all the necessary files (and, unfortunately, a virus or too in the process), but I can't get it working correctly. On both programs I can get a connection to a server and a connection to the TM, but that's where it ends. On WSP with Newcamd, I get a green light and the echo tx/recd, but still scrambled channels, and on HDVB I can see servers, see my prog ids, but again, no clearing. Anybody help?

What are you trying to view ? (newcamd is only intented for 1 provider)
To open up more channels with different providers you better use CCcam.
Have you read the SSSP + HDVB (CCcam, Newcamd, gbox) topic ?

Yes cheers - that was the topic which brought me here. Its the only concise explanation I'd been able to find.
As far as my experiments go, everything seems in line with the tutorial apart from the actual clearing. Using HDVB I can see a list of servers connecting and its talking to the 1500 because its bringing up the channels on each change. Nothing clears though.

Using WSP I can connect to Newcamd servers (green light), connect to the 1500, (see the tx messages and channel ids) but again, no clearing.

Be sure you use patched firmware on your technomate.

sometimes you need to click the emm in the upper windiw in order to let the image kick in.
If you look at log window you should see as well some SSSP (serial connection traffic) ?
If this is not the case it means yr serial connection is not good.sometimes different speeds work better like 115200

Also, in my experience, you need to activate the sssp connection first, THEN activate the sharing connections

Thanks for the replies. I'm using latest patch. I've tried clicking on the lines in the upper window - no joy. I've set the speed to 115200.
When you say 'see some traffic', what should I expect to see? I see the channels change when I flick through them but nothing else. I wonder if my usb-null modem setup isn't capable of getting the speeds reqd? It works fine to patch the TM etc.

Well, I have 2 screenshots for you.
It seems that a connections speed of 19200 is best (usb 2 serial) with hdvb.
also check that the communication rate of the USB-2-serial cable is set to 115200 in the devices menu for windows.(control panel - computermanagement)

also i noticed that you sometimes need to restart the CCcamserver connections when already connected with SSSP otherwhise the emm is not detected. Strange but well ....

Thanks for getting back. The second screen I get - the first one I don't. I'm going to try the connection speed change and I'll get back.

ALso beware :
I used an older patch 25.01.2010 (magic patch)
Also
restart cccam while SSSP is already connected and zap some channels ...

Well, no joy with the first attempt. Unless I use the top baud rate, the box doesn't seem to communicate. It's only when I have it at that rate that I see the 'channel update' lines when I move through the channels. Still, that's all I get - I don't get the cccam server lines.
I'll try an old patch now.

Ok..think I'm about there. Using an old patch and not activating Cccam until after the port is opened etc, I now get the long ECM lines too. However, I don't get as far as the server lines or any clearing. This though could well be the fact that the 'test' servers I'm using aren't the best. I'm not connecting for much more than a few seconds at a time so it isn't the best test. I'll try to find some better c lines and report back!

Almost there, sometimes you need to wait a bit before everything works - 40 secs ...-(stop & restart CCcam server for example may give a solution)

Clicking the right provider in the upper screen sometimes works fine as well !

I would not use cccam 2.1.4 server with Hdvb but something like 2.1.2 should work very good

Thanks for all your help - got this up and running now in principle.
